One of the members of the Lambda Sigma Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority at the University of Mississippi reached out to me about having some letters made for display at chapter events and functions. They previously had a set that were approximately 4' tall by 4' wide and wanted a set that were 6-1/2' tall by 4' wide. After we met and discussed their project I provided some digital sketches for approval. Once approved I got started! Here are a couple pictures of the process and finished products.
Here are the basic shapes prior to finish or assembly.. Not bad right?
And here they are painted and full assembled just prior to delivery. I installed feet to protect the finish at the bottom. All three have carefully positioned fold-out supports hinged to the back to provide maximum stability while also minimizing their visual impact on the letters. Overall height is about 6'8" for all three.
This was a fun project for me and the representatives of the Lambda Sigma chapter made it even better by being fantastic to work with! Thanks ladies!
